Family owned and locally operated, Oak Beach Auto Repair & Towing began operations in 1984. Serving the greater Caseville, Port Austin and Pigeon areas, this business boasts 24 hour towing service and high quality auto repair.
The Problem
Oak Beach Auto Repair & Towing to OMG National with a duplicate Google Business Profile (which we quickly resolved) and no other local online presence. Calls and overall engagement were very low for this local automotive repair shop and towing service. The business didn’t have a website either, so we created the website for them.
The Methodology
Our methodology revolves around Google’s own Local Ranking Factors (Relevance, Distance, Prominence). Ensuring that the information is accurate, filled out, and up-to-date is of utmost importance for the Relevance and Distance factors, since users benefit from correct information online which avoids wasting time, increases convenience, and improves on user experience.
Prominence is a factor that actually has three “sub-factors” which we can help influence. These are Directories, Reviews, and a Website’s position in search. When these three sub-factors are being managed and given the best practice approach, Google will take these data points as positive trust signals to justify showing our clients within Google Search and Google Maps.
Facebook and Instagram are also essential features of our Local Marketing Essentials product. With our consistent and high-quality posts, along with our boosts and always-on Like Campaigns, ensure that we build our clients brand on social media in their local area. Not only does Google index these websites for consistent and updated information, but user engagement on these websites also helps Google identify the Expertise-Experience-Trust-Authority (EEAT) factors for a better user experience.
The Results: GBP
Results have been Excellent. Not only does the business rank #1 across the board for their top three keywords (auto repair, car towing, towing) on Google Search and Maps, Customer Actions on our OMG Listings Network increased by over 10% in the last 90 days. This includes phone calls, website visits and direction requests on Google Business Profile, Yelp, Bing, and our extended network. Searches on Bing have also increased by +44%.
The Results: Facebook
On Facebook, Views increased by +57% and client engagement increased by +66% in the last 90 days. This indicates that potential clients are reviewing social media at some point in the customer cycle. This also helps us understand the importance of social media engagement for Google local rank, as this is one of the least talked about but one of the easiest ways to impact rank.
